7 Nights Split Yacht Charter Itinerary
SPLIT is the largest and most important Dalmatian city, the second-largest urban centre in Croatia. Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area, and is traditionally considered just over 1,700 years old. However, recent archaeological research relating to the ancient Greek colony of Aspálathos (6th century BC) establishes the city as being several hundred years older. UNESCO protected Diocletian Palace in Split was built between the late 3rd and the early 4th century A.D by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. He built the Palace in a large bay on the southern side of the peninsula, close to his birth place Salona. Today the Palace is still home to many residents and to major historical buildings. Architectural historians consider it one of the best preserved late Roman villas, but also cherish the elements of the medieval city as well as the layers of the subsequent historical styles found in the eclectic makeup of the Split city core. The peristyle of the palace, Diocletian’s mausoleum, Jupiter’s temple, the colonnades along the streets, Early Croatian churches, Romanesque houses, the gates of Andrija Buvina and architectural works by Juraj Dalmatinac have remained in a good state.
Milna is a village on the western side of island of Brac.Typical small island village with Mediterranean charm and atmosphere. The village is settled in 16th century, by sheppards. Nowadays very popular nautical resort, known by good authentic Dalmatian restaurants.

Its name derives from the Greek name for island and town, that stood where today Stari Grad (Hvar became an island’s centre in 13th century) stands – PHAROS. Hvar gained glory and power during middle ages being an important port within the Venetian, naval empire. Today, it is centre of island’s tourism and one of the favourite destinations in Dalmatian riviera – a town of smiling and courteous people, who are almost only dedicated to tourism. Vis is divided between two beautiful small towns at the foot of two large bays: Vis Town, in the northeast; and Komiza, in the southwest. There is friendly rivalry between the two – Vis Town is historically associated with the upper-class nobility while Komiza is proud of its working-class fishing heritage and pirate tales. The rugged coast around the island is dotted with gorgeous coves, caves and a couple of sand beaches. The island’s remnants of antiquity, displayed in the Archaeological Museum and elsewhere around Vis Town, offer a fascinating insight into the complex character of this tiny island, which has become a destination for in-the-know travellers.
Korcula Town, on the island’s north-east corner, has been dubbed Little Dubrovnik as its Medieval city walls and terracotta-roofed buildings are a carbon copy of the so-called ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. But Korcula refuses to hang on Dubrovnik’s coattails. It lines up major sights like the Marco Polo museum and St Mark’s cathedral. And it scores big when it comes to artisanal shops and family-run seafood restaurants spread across its tangle of narrow marble alleyways.
Mljet is the first larger island one come upon while sailing the Croatian Adriatic from the direction from south to north. It is Croatia’s greenest island with its Mediterranean vegetation, clear and clean sea, gentle sandy shoreline and a wealth of underwater sea life. Mljet is indeed s unspoilt island that is covered by a dense Mediterranean forest. Mljet is also well known for it’s two salted lakes – Veliko and Malo Jezero that are located at the North end of the island.
